Ah yes; where were we?
It was April. She was reasonably good, as months go. Some chill, needing to wear a coat, some not. I think I got my shorts out during the last weekend because it was hot.
I rallied on the 5th and felt good about it. Came back to the news and could not make sense of it. Our beloved country of fine ideals but sketchy follow-through is now on the ropes, if not in active freefall. That has been invading my spirit, like a poison, causing anger, despair, and clouds across my personal horizon. I am really sad.
So right now I am using every inch of discipline I have (and trust me, discipline is one of the things I struggle with) to stay on this page and deliver something of value.
Here is what I thought I would tell you about. It measures -7 on the Scale of Big Important Things Now Being Discussed On the Internet, but it is something I have been thinking about.
In February, I wrote a piece I called The Funkification which to me was about hearing music for the first time, realizing how terrific it made me feel, and learning from that experience how to listen hard to music that gave me enjoyment. There is another part to that story.
